Barry Cohen is a Partner of the firm. He is widely recognized as a leading commercial and intellectual property litigator, with a practice increasingly national in scope. Barry concentrates his practice in the areas of business and intellectual property litigation, including employment and trade secret litigation. He regularly represents clients in the protection of their intellectual property rights, and negotiation of licensing rights. Barry has also defended companies in a variety of product liability matters.

Chambers & Partners USA identified Barry as a leading Intellectual Property Attorney for 2011. In 2009 - 2012, Barry was selected by Law and Politics as one of Pennsylvania’s SUPER LAWYERS. In 2012, Barry was ranked as a Top 100 Attorney in both Pennsylvania and Philadelphia by SUPER LAWYERS. In 2004, Barry was selected by American Lawyer Media as one of only thirty attorneys under the age of 40 to be on the “fast track” in Philadelphia. Soon thereafter, in 2006 and 2007, he was recognized as one of the “rising stars” of the legal community. His recognized expertise has been tapped by CNBC, which has called upon him several times to serve as a commentator on current legal issues, and he is a frequent author of articles on a variety of legal matters.

Barry earned his J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law in 1993 and his B.A., Economics and History, from Emory University in 1990. In 2001, he was a Fellow at the Temple University Academy of Advocacy. Given the breadth of Barry’s litigation practice, he is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the States of New York and New Jersey, as well as in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Eastern District of Michigan.
