Ian A. Doherty
Ian Anthony Doherty is an associate of the firm. He concentrates his practice in the areas of general corporate, transactional and securities law matters. Ian represents clients in a diverse array of matters, including drafting and negotiating documents for, and counselling with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, equity and debt financings, private equity transactions, and other corporate and commercial matters. He also has a broad range of experience in private entity formation, corporate, limited liability, and partnership governance and SEC disclosure requirements and filings. Ian has prepared and/or reviewed a wide variety of business and corporate agreements, including asset purchase agreements, securities purchase agreements, subscription agreements, escrow agreements, security agreements, limited liability company operating agreements, partnership agreements, shareholders agreements, bylaws, articles of incorporation and organization, and other documents in connection with corporate transactions and general corporate matters. Prior to his association with the firm, Ian worked at Dechert LLP and White & Williams LLP.
Ian was educated at Duke University School of Law, Class of 2006, where he was a member of the Duke Journal of General Law and Policy. Prior to that, Ian completed his undergraduate work at Duke University, Class of 2001, where he majored in Economics, earned a Certificate in Markets and Management Studies, and was a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Ian's strong educational background and legal experiences provide him with the skills necessary to provide high quality services to firm clients.
