Biography
Laura Lee Flanagan focuses her practice on advising companies and individuals on a broad range of corporate, real estate and regulatory matters. Primarily in the financial services industry, she works with established companies and start-ups as general counsel, with a focus on regulatory matters. In recent years her practice has expanded into media and entertainment. Laura serves as outsourced General Counsel and/or Chief Compliance Officer for investment advisory firms, private funds, and a media company. She is a principal and founder at 3iCO, LLC, which provides regulatory compliance consulting services and outsourced compliance officers to investment advisory firms and private funds.

I WANT YOU TO KNOW
- I started practicing in NYC with Duval & Stachenfeld (now Adler & Stachenfeld) as a commercial real estate attorney representing developers, and then moved over to lender’s counsel at Emmet, Marvin & Martin.
- My first General Counsel role began with a real estate fund in 2013, and I still act as GC for Springview Investments to this day.
- I transitioned my primary practice focus from real estate to investment advisors and private funds in 2014.
- I have enough IP knowledge and experience to be dangerous (if I used it).
WHAT MAKES ME UNIQUELY ME
- I am a New York native, born and raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
- I wrote a book about cooking called “Hard-Core Vegetarian” which will be released in 2024 on Feral House Press.
- I am a writer, editor, producer, and manage a legendary band.
- I am an avid equestrian.
- I paint and draw.
- I speak Italian and have dual citizenship with Italy.
