David S. Antzis Named Partner at Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC

Philadelphia, PA - November 2, 2020

Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC (RCCB), a law firm offering a distinctive combination of practical business acumen, legal experience and entrepreneurial passion, today announced the addition of Partner David S. Antzis to the firm’s Corporate & Business Group.

Mr. Antzis brings to the firm more than forty years of experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. He has represented clients across a wide range of industries throughout his renowned career, with particular emphasis on entrepreneurial healthcare businesses and life sciences companies.

Mr. Antzis has spent his career with Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP, joining as the firm’s 60th lawyer in 1978. He served as Managing Partner of Saul Ewing from 2006-2013 where he led their expansion into Washington, D.C., Boston and Pittsburgh. Throughout his notable tenure, he was also Chair of the Business Department and held other firm management positions before ascending to Managing Partner. At the time of his departure to RCCB, David was co-chair of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions practice.

“David’s remarkable experience and knowledge base have helped him build an illustrious career,” said John E. Royer, Jr., Managing Partner of RCCB. “He has been a respected force in the Philadelphia legal community for more than forty years and brings invaluable perspective from serving at the helm of one of the region’s largest firms. He is a welcome addition to our firm, and his expertise will add substantial value to an already strong group of M&A attorneys.”

Mr. Antzis was drawn to RCCB for its entrepreneurial approach to counseling clients and impressed with the level of sophistication offered by the RCCB team. In addition to the agile approach the firm takes to offering their services, whether it’s drawing upon other lawyers in the firm or embracing alternative fee arrangements, the breadth of the firm’s practice areas is well-suited for the business clients Mr. Antzis serves.

"Joining RCCB reminds me of when I started my career at a growing, mid-sized firm, although the way in which RCCB supports its clients and the type of work being done is light years ahead,” said Mr. Antzis. "I am very impressed with the superlative talent that John, Neil Cooper and the RCCB leadership have strategically assembled. It is energizing to begin the next chapter of my career at a firm that embraces new and innovative ways to serve its clients.”

Among some of his notable accolades throughout his career, Mr. Antzis was one of 24 lawyers listed as a “Mergers & Acquisitions All-Star” by BTI Consulting Group, and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers has recognized him for several years as a top rated mergers and acquisition attorney. Mr. Antzis also served for many years on Select Greater Philadelphia’s CEO Council for Growth.
