RCCB's Cohen and Tobin Return to WTR 1000 List

WTR 1000 features more than 80 country and US state-specific chapters analyzing local trademark legal services markets and profiling the firms and individuals singled out as leaders in their respective fields

Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC (RCCB), a law firm offering a distinctive combination of practical business acumen, legal expertise and entrepreneurial passion, today announces the return of Partners Barry Cohen and Donna Tobin to the 2020 edition of the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000.

In its tenth year, the WTR 1000 features more than 80 country and US state-specific chapters analyzing local trademark legal services markets and profiling the firms and individuals singled out as leaders in their respective fields. World Trademark Review, publisher of the WTR 1000, is a daily news and information service dedicated exclusively to reporting on trademark issues for in-house and private practitioners internationally.

Individual practitioners, law firms and trademark attorney practices qualify for inclusion in the WTR 1000 based solely on receiving sufficient positive feedback from market sources. The extensive research process was conducted over a four-month period by a team of full-time analysts and involved over 1,500 face-to-face and telephone interviews with trademark specialists across the globe.

In his return to the list, Barry Cohen is listed as a “Global Leader” by WTR 1000 and is described as a “tactically savvy litigator who understands how to use litigation as a business tool to facilitate quick wins.” He concentrates his practice in the areas of business and intellectual property litigation, including trademark, copyright, trade secret and commercial litigation. He regularly represents clients in the protection of their intellectual property rights, and negotiation of licensing rights.

Multi-year ranked Donna Tobin is described by the publication as someone who “whether litigating, licensing intellectual property or advising on clearance or portfolio development, her aim is to make her in-house contacts look good. She achieves this by focusing on results and creating IP value.” She established and oversees the firm’s trademark prosecution practice and has been providing large and small clients in various industries including the food and beverage industry with trademark litigation, prosecution and counseling services for nearly thirty-five years. In 2017 Donna was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve on the Trademark Public Advisory Committee ("TPAC") of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

“We are thrilled with Barry and Donna’s inclusion in the 2019 WTR 1000,” said Executive Partner Neil A. Cooper. “Their return to this prestigious list reflects their longstanding stellar reputations for providing timely and sophisticated strategic advice to clients.”
